Florentine Hills
Located in the heart of Tuscany, Casa Alina is nestled in the Florentine Hills, just six kilometers from the town of Montespertoli. Vineyards, olive groves and rolling hills shape the landscape and you can not help but stop on the windy roads to take shot after shot of the amazing landscape. There are seasonal festivals celebrating wine, olive oil, local truffles and Tuscan life. By plane: We fly Lufthansa and Swiss Air from Boston to Florence with a stop in Rome. In the summer, Delta has a direct flight from NY (JFK) to PISA. Lufthansa, Air France and British Airways also fly to Florence and Pisa daily.
By car or train: Public transportation in Italy is reliable and economical. However, we suggest that you rent a car at the airport so that you can travel to Casa Alina and around Tuscany at your own leisure. Hertz is the best rental company at Florence airport, but make sure to reserve a car with GPS! There are buses and trains that leave Montespertoli and Empoli for Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca and all other destinations. The closest train station is in Empoli.
